Maison Anderetea is a family run Bed and Breakfast in Mendionde, situated between the Pyrenees mountains and the Atlantic coast in the heart of the picturesque Basque region of South Western France.
A warm welcome awaits you in our beautiful Basque home, lovingly restored using traditional methods and noble materials to create an harmonious mix of old and new.
Where
Mendionde is a small village perfectly placed to explore this wonderful region. Here we do not talk in kilometres or miles, but in minutes!
Our B&B is less than half an hour from just about everything worth seeing in the French Basque Country, including Biarritz, Bayonne, Espelette, Cambo, La Bastide Clairence, Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, Hasparren, Ainhoa and the Spanish border.
To Do
The region is rich with beautiful architecture and a strong cultural influence. You are never far from a museum or a festive event. For the more energetic, there are a vast number of walks to suit all levels in the immediate vicinity. Whether you like to take an occasional stroll or you are an experienced hiker, there is something for you here.
For the more adventurous, you may want to try paragliding, mountain biking, horse riding, rafting, pelote or of course surfing.
